I assume you've seen the Susan strong episode, right? before then, I'd loved the show purely for it's awesome characters and surrealist writing, but then I realized that the episode where Finn finds some fellow "humans" was almost exactly Plato's Allegory of the Cave.
and for a cartoon to, however stealthily, be able to introduce such a building block of philosophy to children so effectively... Suffice it to say, it's the kind of cartoon I want to write someday.
I have yet to watch that episode! It sounds quite fascinating, though! Funny thing - I was reading something similar to the Allegory earlier today in a passage from The Golden Tract. (Haha, yes, I go to nerdy extremes to study up on alchemy.) It presented what humankind and certain individuals see and perceive a bit differently, though. Totally amazing that such philosophy could be applied to a childrens' cartoon and in such a well done way, apparently! I'll definitely have to go watch it, now. ^^ Haha, I only wish I could write something of the sort so skillfully.
